Detox drink with lemon water, mint and pomegranate seeds

Serves 4 | Preparation and cooking time: 15 mins | Chilling time: 3hrs | Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

2 lemons, juiced

1 pomegranate, halved

1 bunch mint, leaves picked

500ml water

1l sparkling water, cold

Method

1 Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher. Remove the seeds from the pomegranate halves and add to the pitcher along with half of the mint leaves.

2 Add the water, stir well, and chill for 2-3 hours until very cold.

3 Divide the lemon water between serving glasses. Then top up with sparkling water. Place the remaining mint leaves before serving.

Fennel-tomato detox water

Serves 4 | Preparation and cooking time: 15 mins | Chilling time: 4hrs | Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

1 fennel bulb

1 cup baby plum tomatoes, halved

1.5l water

Method

1 Remove the fronds from the fennel bulb and place in a pitcher. Finely slice the bulb and add to the pitcher along with the tomatoes.

2 Add the water, stir well, then cover and chill for 4 hours.

3 Pour into tall glasses and serve.

Citrus fruit and lemon balm detox water

Serves 4 | Preparation and cooking time: 15 mins | Chilling time: 4hrs | Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

1 lemon, sliced

1 orange, sliced

1 pink grapefruit, thinly sliced

1 Granny Smith apple, cut into thin slices

2 tbsp lemon balm leaves, plus extra for garnishing

1.5l water

Method

1 Place the lemon, orange, grapefruit and apple slices in a large pitcher. Add the lemon balm leaves and the water, stir well, then cover and chill for 4 hours or until very cold.

2 Pour into glasses and serve with a garnish 

of more lemon balm.

Radish-cucumber detox water

Serves 4 | Preparation and cooking time: 10 mins | Chilling time: 4hrs | Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

1 cup breakfast radishes, thinly sliced

1.5l water

2 cups ice cubes (optional)

Method

1 Place the cucumber and radishes in the base of a large pitcher. Pour the water, stir briefly, then cover and chill for 4 hours or until very cold.

2 Serve in glass mason jars, with ice cubes if desired.

Apricot, strawberry and lavender detox water

Serves 4 | Preparation and cooking time: 15 mins | Chilling time: 4hrs | Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

1.5 cups wild strawberries, or small strawberries

6 ripe apricots, pitted and halved

2-3 sprigs lavender

1.5l water

Method

1 Remove the tops from the strawberries with a sharp paring knife. Place in a pitcher with the apricot halves and a sprig of lavender.

2 Add the water, stir well, then cover and chill for 4 hours or until very cold.

3 Discard the lavender sprig before dividing the water and fruit between serving glasses. Serve with fresh lavender leaves on top.
