Monday, February 8, 2016

Santa Barbara is now the 2nd county in California to Embrace a healthy and balanced Consuming Energetic Living (HEAL) Resolution, announced the county’s People Good health Department in a Monday press release. The initiative aims to “develop neighborhoods and workplaces where Healthy and balanced selections are readily offered and straightforward to make,” functioning to reverse the state’s obesity and chronic health problem epidemics, pointed out the People Good health Department release.

Sponsored by Supervisors Salud Carbajal and Steve Lavagnino, the countywide commitment is a product of the California Focus with regard to People Good health Advocacy (CCPHA), whose HEAL Cities Campaign was adopted in Lompoc and the Urban area of Santa Barbara in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Across the state, 180 cities take part in the program. The Main Valley’s Stanislaus County was the initial to Embrace the routine on the subject of a countywide basis spine in 2014.
