The headmasters, who were already opposing distribution of mid-day meal (MDM) in summer vacations, claimed that attending workshop has actually itself turn to be a cause of ‘anxiety’ for them. “From 7 am to 12 noon we have actually to wait for children in schools to prepare and give them mid-day meal in such a weather in remote ares. Children too have actually stopped coming. Now, we are being asked to attend these classes at blocks situated three to five kilometres away from schools,” state president, Teachers Welfare Association RP Mishra said.
Another headmaster RK Dwivedi said, “The brand-new addition in our work is distribution of mid day meal during summer vacations. The destressing workshop will be more stressful for us.”
