Makeup can do wonders; I can bet on this if used properly. For extremely hot summer days, natural look is practical and quite ‘in’ now a days as ‘no makeup look’ is a buzz word. Gone are the days when layers of make-up were used. Now women want to look more natural and glowy. Applying a basic, natural look doesn’t require a lot of skill or tools. I am sharing here an easy skin care and make up look that keeps you fresh during long summer days. It is very easy to follow and you will definitely enjoy the desired results without much hassle.

Skin Care:

Skin care is the key to achieve a desired look. No matter how proficient you are in doing make up or having high end products, it’s useless if your skin is not healthy.

  • Protect yourself from the sun (Use sunscreen & Seek shade).
  • Treat your skin gently (Avoid strong soaps, Pat dry & Moisturize dry skin regularly).
  • Eat a healthy diet (try to use as much organic food as you can).
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Never go to bed without removing makeup.
  • Exfoliate the skin. Do it once or twice a week if you have actually normal or dry skin and three to four times a week if you have actually oily or combination skin.

Daily summer make up:

  • Start with clean skin. Wash with a gentle cleanser or simply use rose water to cleanse your skin.
  • Apply a light moisturizer. It works wonders to keep the skin from getting too oily during the day, and moisturize any dry patches on the skin. Leave it for some time and allow the moisturizer to sink in.
  • Dab on a tinted moisturizer to your skin and blend with fingers for smooth coverage. If you want more coverage, you can use a makeup sponge or brush to apply. Make sure the shade you choose looks natural.
  • Put a little concealer or eye primer close to your skin tone under and around the eyes. Use finger or a small pointed brush.
  • Set the concealer and moisturizer with a translucent powder.
  • Now apply an eyeshadow of your choice to your eyelid. A neutral shade like light brown or aubergine would certainly be the very best choice.
  • Apply eyeliner or a black or brown pencil along the rim of your upper lash line.
  • After this, apply mascara to the upper and lower lashes. Do not overdo it; just one coat is enough to get the look.
  • Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. Cream blushes are best for a glowing look and easy to blend in.
  • Apply lipstick or lip gloss. If your lips are chapped, apply lip balm and let it absorb before moving on to lipstick or gloss. You can play with anything from neutral to red. Lip balm should be the essential part of your daily lip care routine.

hpoallergenic makeup

Don’t over-do your makeup. Some products may cause an allergic reaction to sensitive skin. Always hunt for the makeup that is labelled “hypoallergenic.” Skip some steps if you don’t find them necessary. Do whatever looks best on you. Also keep the dress that you are wearing in mind when choosing your shades for makeup. I hope these little tried and tested modifications in your skin and make up routine will surely help you to achieve a glowing skin even in summers.
