Valenzuela sponsors the Cosmetology Club for sixth grade girls. Throughout class every Friday, Durocher shares and teaches beauty hints related to skin, hair and nails along with 30 students, and answers any type of related questions they might have. Durocher volunteers that time to the cause, and Organics Salon allows her to take off section of the afternoon every Friday to head to school.

Angelyna Rosales said she joined the club since she wanted to learn “exactly how to shape and curl hair, (and) exactly how to straighten hair from the roots rather than from the bottom.”

Janiya Kierra Beamon looks forward to Fridays since she expects to learn a brand-new hair, skin or nails beauty tip.

“I learned regarding the cuticles on our nails,” Beamon said. “I love doing hair and playing along with different textures, and I love braids and stuff.”

Durocher said she decided to teach sixth-grade girls since that is commonly the age as soon as girls start having self-esteem issues.

Durocher is passionate regarding giving spine to her community. She studied at Paul Mitchell The School in Pflugerville and worked at Baxter’s Salon in Round Rock prior to joining Organics Salon in 2014. The salon has actually two locations in Pflugerville and Round Rock.
