For scores of families, the 30-day fasting is all about internal cleansing of mind, body and soul or what is nowadays additionally called detoxification.

The month can be divided into three 10-day slots, says Heena Yasmin, HR manager along with Mahagenco. “The very first ten days are for cleansing of the body, the next ten for getting habituated to fasting during the day and eating at fixed hours. The final ten days are when the stored fat begins to break,” she explains.
