BASS PRO SHOPS – Utica – We will be having the BBQ team Too Sauced to Pork NY in the parking lot BBQing and giving out samples come on in and try some!! There will also be camping How-To’s inside!  – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Richfield Youth Sports will be grilling burgers and hot dogs both Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 2pm – all proceeds from the BBQ go to Richfield Youth Sports.

Aubuchon is also raffling a Weber propane grill and a Stihl loop handle trimmer. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Tickets can be purchased now at Aubuchon or from any adult RYS member. Proceeds from the raffle go to RIchfield Youth Sports as well!

WESTMORELAND/CLARKS MILLS – American Legion Post #26 Memorial Weekend Events & Parades. Sunday evening 5pm begins Westmoreland/Clark Mills area Cemetery honors, Drill Team will conduct prayers, wreath laying ,rifle salute, playing of taps at nine
area cemeteries & monuments.

CLINTON – Memorial Day parade will take place beginning with a brief ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday, at the College Street Bridge. The parade will continue to the Village Park at which a Memorial Service will take place.

EATON DAY – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – On Memorial Day Monday, May 30th, the Friends of the Old Town of Eaton Museum will be hosting the 21st Annual “Eaton Day”.

The day, which is held in the Hamlet of Eaton on Route 26, is an opportunity for the Town of Eaton residents past and present to enjoy history, memories and good homemade bake goods with special activities thrown in!

Eaton Day starts at 9am and goes to 4pm, with special presentations starting after the parade, which this year is in Morrisville.

HERKIMER – Please join us for the annual Memorial Day parade. All groups, businesses and participates are welcome. Parade line up at noon and kicks off at 1pm. 

HOLLAND PATENT – Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Middle School and continue to the Leon R. Roberts Post 161 on Depot Street, where a ceremony and refreshments will take place.

LEONARDSVILLE – Parade begins at 11 a.m. at the school on state Route 8, and will proceed south down Route 8 to just south of the town and finish with a ceremony at the cemetery.

LITTLE FALLS – Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at Ward Square.

MOHAWK – Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post 25, 43 W. Main St., proceeding east to Bellinger Street, then west to Columbia Street, continuing to the Mohawk Cemetery where a memorial service will take place. A brief service will follow at Post 25 where refreshments will be served.

NEW HARTFORD – A Memorial Day service will take place at noon Monday, at the Brand-new Hartford American Legion Post 1376, 8616 Clinton St., and at 3 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park on Merritt Place.

Parade with World War II veteran Lewis Smith as grand marshal will take place at 7 p.m. Monday beginning at the Brand-new Hartford Shopping Center. The parade will proceed north on Genesee Street ending at the fire station. The parade also will honor all current members of the department who are former military veterans. Following the parade there will be an open house in the Memorial Room at the fire house.

NEW YORK MILLS – Services begin at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Firemen’s Monument. The parade will follow at 11 a.m. beginning from Elm Street and continue to Pulaski Park where services will take place including a rededication of the eagle on the World War I Monument.

ROME –  Memorial Services starting at 9 am at Rome Center, St. Michaels Church and The Shrine. Parade line up begins at 11 am with the parade at Noon, there are prizes for best decorated bike, float and more. A picnic style lunch will be served at the Post after the Cemetery services. There will also be a fundraiser kick off for the Onsted Village Park renovation- there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and an ice cream social. This will take place after the parade.

SCHUYLER – The John A. LaPolla VFW Post 8728 will host a service at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Schuyler Fire Department, Newport Road, honoring the deceased members of the fire department. At 2 p.m. Sunday, Post 8728 will join board members of the Deerfield Schuyler Cemetery Association to conduct a memorial service honoring veterans at the Deerfield-Schuyler Cemetery, Herkimer Road, North Utica.

WESTMORELAND – Starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, the Clark Mills Drill Team will honor all veterans in nine local cemeteries and monuments. At 9:30 a.m. Monday, a ceremony and parade begins at the Westmoreland Town Green and ends at the Westmoreland Cemetery. At 11 a.m. a parade begins at the Kirkland Cemetery stopping on the bridge to salute the Navy veterans with a final ceremony ending at Clark Mills Post 26. Guest speaker will be M. Todd Smith, patrol agent in Charge-Calais Border Patrol Station and USAF veteran.

WHITESBORO – Memorial Day Parade will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, proceeding down Main Street from Watkins, ending at the Village Green where a ceremony will take place.

YORKVILLE – Services begin at 1 p.m. Monday, at the Yorkville Memorial Park on West Whitesboro Street. Guest speaker will be Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, D-Utica.

A 10 a.m. Mass will take place Monday at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Champlin Ave., followed by graveside prayers with veteran organizations.
