B4Stage4: A plan of action for mental health – Vincennes Sun Commercial

Last month Mark Hill kicked off our monthly column on for our organization, Mental Good health America of Knox County. I am Kathy Evans, a licensed clinical social worker and president of our organization. Hopefully through this column we can easily share beneficial post regarding mental Good health problems and challenges.

I would certainly enjoy to talk to you regarding a national campaign sponsored by Mental Good health America called B4Stage4. Once we consider cancer, heart disease, or diabetes, we don’t wait years to address them. We begin prior to Stage 4 — we start along with prevention. Once individuals are in the initial stage of those diseases and are beginning to prove to signs or symptoms enjoy a persistent cough, higher blood pressure, or higher blood sugar, we attempt right away to reverse these symptoms. We don’t forget about them. In fact, we produce a strategy of action to reverse and sometimes prevent the development of the disease. So why don’t we do the exact same for people that are dealing along with potentially major mental illness?
