Sneak Peek: Cop, weight loss coach – Quad City Times

Sure, cops like doughnuts. Who doesn’t?

When Bettendorf Police Detective Josh Paul felt himself getting short of breath after climbing just one flight of steps, he knew life was getting too sedentary.

Five years later, a couple hundred Quad-Citians have lost a combined 5,811 pounds, because of Paul’s commitment to helping others get healthy.

“This year, it’s been kind of special because we got Bettendorf city employees involved,” he said early this week.

The results have been life changing for many of those who signed up and stuck it out with Paul’s take on a “Biggest Loser Challenge.”

Learn more about Paul and his pound-dropping success in Barb Ickes’ column later today at qctimes.com and in Thursday’s Quad-City Times.
