Eat pulses; lose weight, says new research – so try these recipes – Telegraph.co.uk

During the study, almost 1000 men and women lost 0.75lbs over six weeks by adding pulses to their regular diets, without making other changes to their diet or efforts to lose weight. In the study, “bad cholesterol” levels were also reduced by 5 per cent, in turn lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease.  

This confirms findings from a previous study which showed eating pulses increased feelings of fullness by 31 per cent.
